What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device. Some are essential for a site to work, for example to keep you signed in. Others are used to measure how a site is used or to show you advertising.

The short version

play.physio uses strictly necessary cookies only. We do not use analytics, advertising, social media or other tracking cookies, and we do not share cookie data with advertisers. Because strictly necessary cookies do not need your consent under UK law, we do not show a cookie banner.

Cookies we set

Browsing the public website. The public pages of play.physio set no cookies at all.

Signing in to the members area. When you sign in at /players, our sign-in provider, Clerk, sets cookies that keep you signed in and protect your account against forged requests. Their names begin with __session and __client_uat. They are only set once you sign in, last for the length of your sign-in session, and are cleared when you sign out. Without them the members area cannot work.

Contact form. The contact form uses a short-lived, signed token inside the form itself to filter out spam. It is not a cookie and nothing is stored on your device.

Third-party services

Payments. Purchases are completed on pages hosted by Stripe, our payment provider. Stripe sets its own cookies on those pages to process the payment securely and prevent fraud. They are governed by Stripe’s cookie policy.

Links to other sites. Links on play.physio to X (Twitter), LinkedIn and other sites are plain links. Following one takes you to that site, which has its own cookie policy. We do not embed social media feeds, like buttons or videos that would set cookies on play.physio.

How to control cookies

You can block or delete cookies through your browser’s settings. Guidance for the common browsers is available at allaboutcookies.org. If you block strictly necessary cookies you will not be able to sign in to the members area, but the rest of the website will work normally.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page if the cookies we use change, for example if we add analytics in future. Any non-essential cookies will only be set with your consent.
